What an extraordinary story. I’m vaguely aware of the ‘Bleeding Kansas’ story, that was about slavery I believe. I’ve been reading a fair bit of non-Nazi German history lately and I have noticed the importance of newspapers to spread information and disinformation very much in the manner of our social media. I suspect the ‘family’ came to a squalid end.
Yeah - people didn't think she was pretty anymore. Waaaah. Prettier than if her skull was caved in with a hammer. I hope the rest of her life was purgatory
I mean, I'm not saying "I hope vampires exist and that's what that clan ran into...". But I'd certainly be okay with that outcome if there was later evidence of it.
🤷🏼♀️ Fate unknown. Some people were arrested at some stage that turned out not be Ma and Pa, there was a claim of a lynching. Or they got clean away with it…

There’s some accounts of them on the run. Apparently Kat liked to moan about it loudly and complained she lived like a prairie dog. Shame.
