The story of Hirfa is a lovely one, one that could be told by a lady of today, i hope she found the contentment & happiness she desired.

So informative about a culture unknown to me. Hirfa is an inspiration to be true to yourself!

After a visit to the northern side of Iraq, let me tell you, the women there are not silent. Everyone is aware of being lucked out born a woman, and they let it know they are unhappy, but nothing can be done when they're financially dependent on other family members.

I too hope that Hirfa, alongside the many women I met was able to withstand their hardships and live the life they wanted, even if it required extra effort.

This is why I joined up; stories my meanderings through written history would never stumble across.
