Great article. One of the books I’m currently reading is Rising Sun by John Toland - quite eye opening particularly regarding the negotiations between Japan and the US before Pearl Harbor

Very interesting. I’ve read Rana Mitter’s China’s War with Japan 1937 - 1945 (Penguin Books 2014), good book.

Yes, it was a small hole. The next train was still able to pass in spite of the bombing.

Another great Article Alex, the Sino-Japanese war is definitely an area I lack knowledge. Arguably I know more about the atrocities committed by the Japanese than the war as a whole!

Eye opening. I knew of Japanese atrocities against China, but it never occurred to me that this all contributed to the beginning of WW2.

Those paying attention can see the world getting ready to repeat history
